The French international, who missed Inter's 1-0 win over Cagliari at the weekend because of the injury, pulled up 20 minutes into the team's training session on Tuesday.

Inter host Valencia in the first leg of their first knockout round tie at the San Siro stadium.

Lyon midfielder Juninho said Roma captain Francesco Totti will pose the biggest threat to his team in the first leg of the second round. "I have a lot of admiration for him,'' Juninho said. "(Totti) is the one who dictates the rhythm of his team. We'll need to be wary.''

Claudio Ranieri has been appointed coach of Italian Serie A side Parma. He returns to coach in his native Italy after an absence of nearly 10 years.
